As of right now, I am holding open circles for anyone who wishes to participate. I will generally do them at the Full Moon, the New Moon, and any Sabbats. Check my Facebook page for dates and times. If you decide to join please read the following: Circle Etiquette
Ceremonial Rites
Seeker Oath Ceremony-
A seeker oath is an affirmation that you are interested in the study of the Craft and are willing to try. It is for young or new witches. A seeker oath lasts for one year and one day. If after that time, you have decided that the Craft is not for you, then merrily part ways with no harm. If you have decided that it is for you, you can do a dedication ceremony. A seeker ceremony can be done at any time. I am willing to do them at any regular Esbat or Sabbat service if you let me know ahead of time. I will need at least one week to prepare. I can do the Seeker Oath for anyone over 13 years of age, however, if you are under 18, with parent’s permission only.
Dedication Rites:
This is a special ceremony for those who have decided on a Craft centered life and are ready to make that statement out loud. A dedication is akin to other faith group’s baptism rituals. Dedication ceremonies are done for any witch who hasn’t had one yet, no matter how long you have been practicing. You may have been doing this for years and not done a dedication before. If this is the case, I encourage you to do it. I didn’t do one until I had been a practicing witch for 14 and ½ years! If you are interested in doing one let me know and I can help you plan it. It can be done on an Esbat or Sabbat or any other day you wish and any place you wish. It’s all about celebrating you! Again, I can do this for any witch over the age of 13, under 18 with parent’s permission only. Also, it is usual that female witches wait until their first Blood of the Moon before dedication.
Other Ceremonial Ideas:
I can help you with baby naming ceremonies or baby welcoming ceremonies. But no, I do not “baptize” babies. Babies are not old enough to understand the Rede or to choose what they are getting involved in. So nope.
Handfasting is akin to a marriage ceremony. I am not licensed yet, and therefore cannot legally bind a marriage. I am working on it. However if you would like to do a handfasting anniversary ceremony or as part of an engagement ceremony, I can work with you.
If in the event, it is decided to incorporate into a coven/grove/clan, I will be doing initiations after that. Initiations will only be done for those who have had formal dedications. For group purposes you will be considered an initiate for 1 year and 1 day before you are considered a full member. More information will be provided on such events when the time comes.
